• Question: Why do I only see "New Item" and not the auction title?
• Answer: The monitor will display "New Item" until the monitor process is started. Once the process begins, it will read the information from the specfied web address. If the web address is inaccessable or if the target page is not supported, the "New Item" text will be changed to "Invalid Web Address - Can't resolve details".

• Question: Why do I only see "Invalid Web Address - Can't resolve details"?
• Answer: The web address that you entered may not be accessable, or point to a valid auction item detail page. The address must be for the item detail page and not a list of search results. Search results web addresses must be added via the "Add items from search URL" function. Currently only the following auction sites are supported: Ebay UK, USA, CA and Yahoo! Shopping USA.

• Question: My countries ebay web site is not supported, what can I do?
• Answer: Currently only the following auction sites are supported: Ebay UK, USA, CA, FR, DE and AU. If you wish for your country to be added to the list of supported ebay auction sites, please either contact me or leave a request in the forum.

• Question: How do I uninstall the "Ebay Item Watcher"?
• Answer: To uninstall the older versions of the application, use the "Add / Remove programs" function. To access the "Add/remove programs" follow these steps:

• 1 Click the "Start" button on your task bar.
• 2 Click the "Settings" menu item.
• 3 Click the "Control Panel" menu item.
• 4 Select "Add/Remove Programs" from the "Control Panel" list.
• 5 Find "Ebay Item Watcher" in the list of installed applications and click the remove button.

Alternativly, if you still have the "EbayItemWatcherSetup.msi" file that you used to install the application, you can right click on it (in windows explorer) and select "Uninstall" from the context menu.

Version 2.3 and above includes an unistall link in the start menu. Select: Start -> All Programs -> Ebay Item Watcher -> Uninstall Ebay Item Watcher.

• Answer: The most likely cause of this problem is a missing Microsoft .Net framework (1.1) installation. (Get the .Net Framework)

• Answer: No. This application gathers data by reading the auction's web page. No user credentials are required for this.

• Question: How can I be sure this software is safe and free from spy/ad-ware?
• Answer: To ensure that you only run validated software, please download your installtion files from Download.com. However, the version hosted on Download.com may not be the most up to date.
